Well, yesterday was the new episode, one which finally shed some light on Scootaloo (IMO the most underrated and unjustly hated of the CMC).
Anyway, I liked it. The BGM was top notch as always (I'm not going to lie, both the rocking number in the cold open and Rainbow's entrance made me headbang like Beavis and Butthead), Luna makes a welcome appearance as a dream wanderer (Like Freddy Kruegar but not in a psychotic way), and I like the moral of facing your fears and being yourself.
Also, I think I'm going to start singing 99 Bottles of Oats on the Wall from now on (In a deliberately terrible manner).

She is one of my favorite ponies! Well, yesterday was the new episode, one which finally shed some light on Scootaloo (IMO the most underrated and unjustly hated of the CMC). How else will I know how to sing along?

Yeah, some people don't like her because, I'm guessing she didn't get as much character development as the other Crusaders. She was the one pony who had the biggest case of Aesop Amnesia and idolized Rainbow Dash as if she was a god. It's refreshing that she finally got her time in the limelight with the other fillies as supporting characters for once.

I suppose that is a fair criticism. This really is the first time that we've gotten to see her character shine. But I just find her to be so freaking adorable. There is a reason she's on the banner!
I remember after the first episode with the CMC, a number of people didn't like them at all. Do you get the sense that people have warmed up to them now?

Yeah, because their characters have been given more depth beyond the "I want my cutie mark now!!!!!" phase. They actually have a personality beyond that, but I feel another part of their unjust hatred was how people would rather see a mane 6 episode than a CMC episode (The term Spotlight Stealing Squad comes to mind).
Scootaloo for the most part lacked that depth, only having her aspiration for a cutie mark and her idolizing Rainbow. In fact her cutie mark story didn't help matters, as it was more of less Rainbow catching lightning in a bottle, so to speak.

I thought this episode was really good. When I first saw Luna, I thought it was just a cameo, but I got pretty excited when she came into the episode for real.
As for the CMC, I didn't like them at first, but when they got their second episode I warmed up to them. If there's any character I DON'T like, I would have to say Apple Jack, but I can't anymore. I've pretty much been warmed up to Apple Jack since a little before the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6,000 episode.

This was the first episode I was able to watch where I was able to avoid all the spoilers except the title and that it was supposed to be a Scootaloo episode. I had no expectations going in, and I was blown away at how great the episode was. I've liked all of Season 3 so far with One Bad Apple being my least-liked so far, though.
A story with the CMC and 3 of the Mane6 was really fun. I think one of the reasons I liked it so much was that Rarity and Sweetie Belle were in it and were great. Scary stories, nightmares, Luna actually playing a role in an episode, and some entertaining character development made it a top notch episode.

There were a lot of things in this episode that made it wonderful. All in all, this was one of my favorites from this season so far. It just had a lot of heart and emotion woven into it. There were also some hilarious, and well animated, facial expressions from Scootaloo.

I loved this episode, I nearly cried when scootaloo told the truth to rainbow dash and rainbow dash took her under her wing. Even rainbow dash admitted that she was scared the first time she heard that story as well. That revealed something about rainbow dash that a great deal of the fandom has ignored, and also, it is just so heartwarming. I loved that oh-so-tender moment.
